Rapper FOXY BROWN has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanour charge of violating a court order stemming from a 2007 confrontation with a New York City neighbour.

The hip-hop star, real name Inga Marchand, was arrested and charged with public lewdness and harassment after a run-in with Arlene Raymond in New York in July (10).

Raymond, who had previously obtained a court order against Brown, claimed the rapper violated the ban by becoming involved in a heated argument with her before baring her butt.

On Tuesday (07Sep10), a grand jury at Brooklyn Criminal Court failed to indict Brown on two felony charges, and three out of four misdemeanours.

She entered the plea to the remaining charge of criminal contempt on Friday (10Sep10).

Former convict Brown faces up to one year in jail if found guilty.
