New York (GaeaTimes.com) - Cal Coburn Brown was executed for the first time since 2001 who was known to be a convicted killer. Since 1977 he was accused of assaulting a woman with his knife and also sentenced for seven and half years in Oregon in 1984. Later in May 24, 1991 he committed the crime of raping, torturing and murdering a 21yr old Holly Washa in the Seattle area with hair dyer and electrical wire’s shockwaves and lastly she was out of breath choking to death. Though he was being executed by a 4-member team with a lethal injection in the execution chamber of Washington State Penitentiary in Friday morning, the 52 yr old convict died at 12.52am PDT as reported by the prison officials.

The victim’s father, brother and the two sisters witnessed the execution with King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg, her father John Washa said he misses his daughter’s blue eyes and her freckles in a press conference and about Brown he quoted,

He’s a very bad person, he did a very bad thing to her which he didn’t need to do and with this tonight it brought more closure instead of more hatred. I just feel better now, I’m just more at peace and they are always going to miss Holly.

Brown’s family didn’t attend the execution but he spoke with them day before he died. The incident happened this way that Brown met Washa near Sea-Tac airport in Washington deeming to help her indicating her rear tire. When she stopped to check it, he carjacked her at knifepoint. For the next one and a half day he totally robbed her before stabbing her and put her body in the trunk of the car. He told,

I killed only one victim and I cannot see that there is true justice.

He didn’t even cry for apology to the victim’s family but said that he forgave that hatred. He appealed to Ninth Circuit Court of appeals but it denied his motion for a stay. Brown was suffering from a mental illness called bipolar disorder, he alleged that his illness was not considered seriously, and thus stated his unfair judgment.
