“Peepli Live” Releases Tomorrow

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Any flick that has the tag of Aamir Khan attached to it is known to create widespread interest both among the film fraternity as well as the common masses. The latest offering by the highly-acclaimed Bollywood actor “Peepli Live” is all set to hit theaters across the country tomorrow and it hardly comes as a bolt from the blue that the flick is already generating extensive hoopla among the movie-goers. Despite the fact that “Peepli Live” does not star any big names of Bollywood, the anticipation as well as the excitement among the film-buffs is extremely high.

Industry experts have predicted that although “Peepli Live” does not boast of any prominent names apart from Raghuvir Yadav, the upcoming flick is likely to turn into a money spinner. Special screening of the flick is known to have been arranged prior to its release which is quite contrary to other Bollywood films which hold the preview just a day before the release. The special screening was attended by Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra, among others who only had words of praises for the movie. Meanwhile, “Peepli Live” is also grabbing eyeballs as it is supposedly going to be the first non-commercial flick to hit as many as 600 theaters across the nation.

“Peepli Live” has been produced by Aamir Khan Productions while the directing responsibilities have been taken care of by debutante Anusha Rizvi. The film basically tracks the lives of villagers and is a satire on the farmers suicides and the subsequent media as well as political response that follows.
