Ajith Kumars Mangaatha Launched

Thursday, August 5, 2010

August 5, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): After the success of Asal, actor Ajith Kumar was literally confused over finalizing the director for his 50th film. After several discussions with various filmmakers, the actor has now signed Venkat Prabhu. Producer Dayanidhi Azhagiri, who was impressed with Venkat Prabhu’s narration of script, has agreed to produce the film at a big budget.

The film was launched with a formal puja at AVM Rajeshwari Theatre and was a simple affair. The occasion was attended by Ajith Kumar and the entire technical crew of Mangaatha. Also present for this special juncture were Gangai Amaran, SPB Charan, Amma Creations T. Siva and others. A sleek teaser for the film is being shot and will be screened along with the release of Karthi starrer Naan Mahaan Alla.

Sharing some of the highlighting attributes of Mangaatha, Venkat Prabhu said, “It will be completely different from Ajith’s previous films and his characterization as well. He will be portrayed as a high-spirited zippy guy, who is very talkative indeed. We are planning to shoot major portions of the film in foreign locations and shooting will take off by end of this month…”

Although Bollywood actress Neethu Chandra had previously confirmed that she’ll be starring opposite Ajith Kumar in female lead role, Venkat Prabhu reasserts that the film’s heroine isn’t confirmed yet.

Yuvan Shankar Raja will be joining hands with Ajith Kumar for the third time and it’s worth mentioning that the duo’s previous projects Dheena and Aegan were chartbusters.
