Obama Birthday: Barack Obama Turns 49

New York (GaeaTimes.com) - The son of a man from Kenya and a lady from Kansas, Barrack Hussain Obama, first Afro-American president of the United States of America, turned 49 today. On 20th January, 2009, Barrack Obama was elected as the 44th president. At the beginning of his career he started working as director of the Developing Communities Project(DCP). Later he entered Harvard Law School. Soon he was selected as the editor of Harvard Law Review. He ended as the president of the journal at the end of second year. After completing his study, he served as Visiting Law and Government Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School. Later he was selected as the professor of the same university and served 12 years from 1992 to 2004 first as lecturer and later on became senior lecturer teaching constitutional laws.

His political career started in 1996 when he was elected in the Illinois senate. But on 4th January, 2005 he was sworn in as a U.S senator. At that time he was the only Senate member of the Congressional Black Caucus. The race to the president seat started there for Obama. Later in 2007, he first announced his candidacy for president of the United States. After two years of waiting the day came when he was selected as the 44th president of United States.

To celebrate his birthday, President Obama went home at Hyde Park, Chicago. Though there will be plenty of “Friends of Barrack (FOB)”, but his family will not be there to blow up the candle of final gasp of 40’s. The Chicago Tribune has reported that first lady is on a trip to Marbella, Spain with daughter Sasha. The other daughter Malia is off to some summer camp. First he will visit the Ford Car Factory and will have dinner with few close friends. He decided to spend the night in his old apartment at Hyde Park, Chicago. On this eve, a special website has been launched by first lady Michelle Obama. Any one can send birthday wishes to president from that website.
