Director Shankar To Remake 3 Idiots With Vijay And Mahesh Babu

July 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Vijay’s career graph was quite pathetic as his previous films turned to out to be box office disasters and it even enraged the theatre owners who demanded compensation for the losses incurred. Apparently, the actor has now chosen the best projects that could be made by the top filmmakers.
Amongst all, will be his magnum opus, a remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’. Aye! As soon as Gemini Productions acquired the film’s remake rights in both Tamil and Telugu, the producers were looking out for the best filmmaker to wield the megaphone. Finally, they are now clinching the deal with Shankar, who is busy wrapping up the post production works of the Rajnikanth-Aishwarya Rai starrer ‘Endhiran – The Robot’. It has been revealed that Ilayathalapathy Vijay has been signed to perform the lead role while Telugu version will have Mahesh Babu donning the role of Aamir Khan.
The common buzz tells that Shankar will be casting Jeeva and Siddarth in other two roles that were performed by Sharman Joshi and Madhavan respectively. Nonetheless, Siddarth has officially confirmed in Twitter that he has no idea about signing this project.
