Lisa Ray Welcomes The Queen

TORONTO, CANADA (GaeaTimes.com)- Lisa Ray who had been struggling against cancer seems to have comeback to her normal life with full throttle. Reportedly, Lisa Ray played the host to welcome Queen Elizabeth II in an event held in Canada.
The event celebrated the fervor of Canada where both the Queen and the Prince were present as special guests. Lisa Ray who hails from Canada played the host to the Queen along with Prince Philip for a lunch on Monday. When asked about it, Lisa Ray told the media that she considers this to be a great honor and a boost for her life right after her recovery from cancer. The Queen oF Britain Queen Elizabeth II, is also the Queen of Canada owing to the political promises which was settled between the two nations years ago.
Lisa Ray had her hair chopped into curly crops and sported a neutral colored outfit with a big flower on her head. The ravages of cancer couldn’t fortunately take away her charms.
Lisa Ray who had been suffering from debilitating multiple myeloma (a cancer in the bone marrow) has been away from movies for her treatment. While Lisa Ray played the host to the Queen, she raised a toast to one and all present in the lunch held at the Pinewood Toronto Studios. The Queen was greeted with the Oscar winning song “Jai Ho” from the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”. The queen also had a glimpse of a short movie called “1812″ which relates a gripping tale set against the backdrop of 19th century and is directed by acclaimed director Deepa Mehta who is of Indo-Canadian origin.
