MUMBAI - In a bid to promote director Milan Luthri’s “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai” starring Ajay Devgn, Cinemax would tailor the uniforms of its ushers in the 1970s style - a tight red shirt and black bell-bottoms with a wide leather belt.

“It’s quite colourful and one looks cool in a bell-bottom and a tight shirt,” Ajay told reporters after distributing the uniforms to couple of ushers.

Asked if he things that this film will inspire to bring back the style of the 1970s, he said: “We can only hope.”

Produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Films, “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai” features Ajay as underworld don Haji Mastan while Emraan Hashmi essays the character of Dawood Ibrahim.

Actresses Kangna Ranaut and Prachi Desai also play pivotal roles in the film.

The 1970s uniforms would be distributed to ushers of every Cinemax across the country.

“In 29 Cinemax across the country, there are almost 150 ushers and all will sport these customised uniforms until the film releases,” Cinemax’s deputy general manager (Corporate Communications) Girish Wankhede told IANS.
