LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- On Tuesday night at 10 p.m. FX Networks aired the premier episode of “Rescue Me” Season 6 and like the previous series of the show this episode as well was able to hold on to the attention of the viewers who tuned into the channel to see Denis Leary the co-creator of the show who plays the role of Tommy Gavin. The episode was titled “legacy” and showed the central character trying hard to rebuild his personal relationships.

The show held the interest of the viewers as the Season 5 of “Rescue Me” ended with Tommy Gavin’s injury with a fatal gunshot from his own uncle”. Viewers were interested to know the further steps of emotional Tommy Gavin who is described by the creator himself as strong-headed. “Rescue Me” season 6 shows that Tommy Gavin had a terrifying vision of the afterlife that changes his perspective and now he tries to buildup relationships that he has ignored.

Added to his already tumultuous relationship with his wife Janet is the new addiction of his elder daughter to alcohol. On the other hand his former girlfriend Sheila is still after Tommy with an aim to get her son out of Official Fire Department City of New York (FDNY). On the professional front the Fire Department has decided to cut costs due to recession which means that many workers might have to end up losing their jobs.

All these dramas in the premier episode of “Rescue Me” made the FX show a worth watch. The episode also promised further interesting drama in the coming episodes. “Rescue Me” Season 6 has 10 episodes in total and the creators of the show have announced that with Season 7, the show will come to an end.
