LONDON - Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is scheduled to participate in a charity scheme to promote education for underprivileged kids.

The veteran rocker is slated to take part in the 1GOAL: Education for All’ campaign.

The FIFA-backed scheme aims spreading public awareness that millions of children around the world have no access to education.

1GOAL brings together footballers, fans, charities, corporations and individuals to lobby for change.

“I am honoured to support 1GOAL. I love football and to raise awareness that 72 million children are denied an education through this global sport is truly amazing,” the Daily Express quoted Jagger as saying.

He added: “I want to urge you - even if you are not a football fan like me - to sign up to this campaign and help leave a legacy from this World Cup - to get every child into school.” (ANI)
