Sergio Vega Killed

LOS MOCHIS, SINALOA (GaeaTimes.com)- Well-known Mexican singer Sergio Vega was murdered by unidentified gunmen on Saturday night when the musical artist was going to a village musical concert. The incident took place in the Mexican state of Sinoloa when the singer was driving his red Cadillac and was chased by an assassination gang which fired at him as many as 30 times, as per the latest reports. Sergio Vega was 40 years old at the time of his unfortunate death.
While revealing details about the incident and the circumstances which resulted in the death of the renowned Mexican singer, the Deputy Attorney General’s Office has stated that gunmen open fired at the singer due to which he was injured and consequently crashed the car soon after. However, this did not stop the gunmen from continuing their attack on Sergio Vega who was trapped inside the car after the crash. It has been reported that police authorities have undertaken a thorough investigation in the case to catch the perpetrators of the heinous crime. It is being speculated that drug gangs might have a role to play in the singer’s murder although no confirmation has been available as yet. According to authorities, musical artists who highlight the lives of drug barons through the lyrics of their tracks, are often targeted by the rival gangs.
Soon after the news of Sergio Vega’s death spread, condolences started pouring in from various quarters. The untimely demise of the Mexican musical artist has come as a rude shock to all his fans and friends who are still to come to terms with the fact that Sergio Vega is no more.
