LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Star rapper Soulja Boy became a hot search after he deleted his Twitter account reportedly due to the negative feedback from his followers. The ‘Crank That’ star had amassed more than 2 million followers and was reportedly also one of the highest paid tweeters. The cancellation of his account has made him a hot search because of the rumors saying that he gave in to the ridiculing of his tag name ‘#ifsouljaboysarapper’.

Soulja Boy was reportedly paid $10000 for each tweet. Another celebrity who reportedly earns a similar amount for sharing her thoughts on Twitter is Kim Kardashian. Soulja Boy is known for his fan following on the web. He, like many other singers, has used the web for promoting his content and also making millions from the fans clicking on the websites to promote the videos and songs. Many rappers also reveal behind the scenes footage and other material on the web that fans might not have access to through other media. By deleting his Twitter account, Soulja Boy joins Miley Cyrus and many other stars who gave up the accounts for various reasons that included disturbing rumors. His move has however given rise to more speculation because rappers have long been associated with verbal battles. There are well known feuds between star rappers like Jay Z and Nas, 50 Cent and The Game, etc.

Soulja Boy came into the limelight with his hit ‘Crank That’. He has made public his wish to collaborate with the stars like Jay Z, Kanye West and Eminem for his next album ‘Dre’. His song ‘Crank That’ had been nominated for the 50th Grammy Awards as the Best Rap Song.
