MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)-Rahul Dev Burman is the legend of music for Hindi music industry. Music reality show “Indian Idol 5″ saw an episode which was a tribute to this veteran singer and music composer last Tuesday, June 22 at Sony Entertainment Television. The competition is raised to a new level with all the singers singing their best in the show.

India watched Rahul Dev Burman’s episode where celebrity guest judge was Asha Bhosle. The episode was divided in to two parts. In one part, the legendary Asha Bhosle was the celebrity judge for the second episode. Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonca, Eshaan Noorani were the other celebrity guest judges who trained and guided the contestants in the first episode. The last show was a big hit with the singers performing Rahul Dev Burman’s compositions to make it their best performances and the judges were all in praises for the contestants.

The melodious Asha Bhosle was extremely happy and moved by their performance on Rahul Dev Burman tracks and praised the contestants for their sheer talent in singing. She even went up to compare some of the contestants to the singing maestros of music industry like Mohammed Rafi and Rahul Dev Burman. The “Indian Idol 5″ set was full of celebrities and it was a great honor for the contestants who had so many lessons to learn from these celebrities. On June 21, “Indian Idol 5″ saw Arpita Khan being eliminated from the show and on the last episode, Rakesh Maini became the “Performer Of The Week” with his songs as he could impress the judges well.
