MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- It is quite uncommon to see an actor making his debut in films made in various languages. However, that is what rising Tamil star Rana Daggubati is doing. He impressed the viewers and critics alike with his debut in Telugu film ‘Leader’ which was released in February this year. However, he signed ‘Dum Maro Dum’, a Hindi film directed by Rohan Sippy. In this film, he shares screen space with talented and veteran actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Prateik Babbar and sultry actress Bipasha Basu.

Rana Daggubati is also making his debut in a bilingual film which will be made under the direction of Selva Raghavan. This film is based in ancient times and the incidents take place almost 5000 years back. The actor said that he found the script very interesting and liked the way the director conceived it and that is why he agreed to be a part of the project. The actor also said in an interview that he and director Selva Raghavan interact a lot and it helps in the filing process. In ‘Dum Maro Dum’ he essays the role of a musician. Almost half of the movie has been shot. In it he will be seen in a steamy lovemaking scene with Bipasha Basu, as the industry rumors suggest.

Rana Daggubati is open to do more Hindi films but not at the cost of compromising on his career in the Tamil film industry as he has said. He is sharing screen space with veteran Bollywood actors but is far from intimidated. He is hoping the film clicks well with the viewers.
