LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- No single movie released in 2010 has been able to repeat the success of Avatar or even anything close to that. Shrek’s latest installment and the sequel to the Iron Man have been certified hits in the first half of this year with others getting average reviews and business. ‘Shrek The final Chapter’ is going strong in its third week. The only strong contender to it is the recently released madcap comedy ‘Get Him To The Greek‘. The latest production of Judd Apatow is likely to become a hit and the early reviews the film has got are largely positive. It has left other recent releases like the Ashton Kutcher starrer ‘The Killers’ and Adrien Brody starrer ‘Splice’ way behind. Even ‘Sex and the city 2′ and ‘Prince of Persia’ would not be able to surpass it, as early box office results indicate.

Get Him To The Greek‘ is a raunchy roller coaster ride with the leading men Jonah Hill and Russell Brand. They are attempting to recreate the magic of the 2008 hit Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Russell Brand essays the role of a musical star whose career is on the downside with perfection. He is able complemented by Jonah Hill.

Get Him To The Greek‘ has certain sections that borders on the crude and may not be appealing for the entire family to watch. However, it is not over the top and the pace of the narrative keeps one guessing what will happen next. The bromance is effective and for Russell Brand, known for his drugs and sex addiction, the movie is like revisiting his past days.
