Chace Crawford Arrested For Marijuana

AUSTIN (GaeaTimes.com)- ‘Gossip Girl’ actor Chace Crawford was arrested on Friday around midnight for possession of marijuana. The young actor was busted by the cops in his car with a friend in the the parking lot of the the Ringo Pub in Plano, Texas. Chace Crawford was taken under arrest immediately and had mug shots taken in an orange jumpsuit. He was later released on bail. Considering that the possession was below 2 ounces, no serious charges are expected to be levied against him but if convicted he may be facing a sentence of 180 days and/or a steep fine.

Chace Crawford is well known for his role in ‘Gossip girl’ as Nate Archibald. the 24 year old became quite a popular Teen Icon for his boyish looks and coy expressions. He has received two Teen Choice Awards and therefore the busting for marijuana doesn’t help his cause at all. The actor has faced heavy criticism from bloggers all over after the news of his arrest was released. Chace Crawford was also declared the ‘Summer’s Hottest Bachelor’ by a popular magazine. He was also a part of Leona Lewis video ‘I Will Be’.

Chace Crawford is a part of the upcoming film project directed by Joel Schumacher called ‘Twelve’ which is based on Nick McDonnel’s novel by the same name. Chace Crawford grew up in Plano Texas and studied broadcast journalism. His mother supported his transition to acting and called it a ‘practical move’ considering his talent. His sister Candice Crawford was crowned Miss Missouri in 2008 and came within top 100 in the Miss USA pageant.
