Bill Austin Of KEZ-FM Dies Of Cancer

PHOENIX (GaeaTimes.com)- On Wednesday, Bill Austin, the former host of the KEZ breathed his last. The 55-year-old co-host of the popular “Beth and Bill Morning Show” was diagnosed with cancer a year ago and was since then battling with the disease. The news of the death of the famous radio show host was confirmed by the people of the KEZ with whom Bill Austin was associated for two decades.

Bill Austin was not only a famous radio talk show host but also a television personality. Before joining the KEZ, Bill Austin worked as a weatherman at a television station. He is fondly remembered by his fans as the host of the “Beth and Bill Morning Show” which was one of the most popular radio shows in Phoenix. On Wednesday, Beth McDonald the co-host of the “Beth and Bill Morning Show” who had worked with Bill Austin for twenty years, mentioned to media sources that she was beside him at the time of his death. She also went on to tell that Bill Austin was more than just a radio partner to her and that “he was the brother” she never had. Beth McDonald revealed to media sources that a few days before his death, Bill Austin lying in his hospital bed had said to her that he missed doing the “little radio show”.

Vinnie Del Rosso, the producer of the KEZ remembered Bill Austin as a man who had taught him about the art of life and the broadcasting industry. He maintained that he was lucky to have hooked on Bill Austin for the “Beth and Bill Morning Show” as it went on to become one of the most popular radio shows of KEZ FM.
