ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER and TIM RICE are to recreate their musical magic for the revamp of the WIZARD OF OZ, according to reports.

Rice has let it slip that he’ll join his former songwriting partner for his upcoming stage spectacular, Over The Rainbow.

In a recent BBC interview, revered lyricist Rice revealed he would “likely” collaborate with Lloyd Webber on new songs he is writing for the production.

Rice and Webber have previously produced Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Lloyd Webber found his Dorothy for the West End production earlier this month (May10) after staging a BBC talent show to search out an unknown for the part. Danielle Hope was cast as the lead.

Over The Rainbow will debut at the London Palladium in early 2011.
