LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- On Wednesday night all eyes were fixed on the television screen to find answer to the question, Who won American Idol tonight? The second most watched reality show on television went on to declare the “American Idol” winner on Wednesday night. The show that crowns the winner according to the viewer’s choice votes declared Lee DeWyze, the 24-year-old paint store clerk the next American Idol. Though Crystal Bowersox has remained the favorite of the judges from the beginning of the show and had also received praises from the judges on Tuesday night, it seems that Lee DeWyze was able to rule the heart of the viewers of “American Idol” this season.

There is no doubt that this season of “American Idol” included some brilliant talents and that the contestants had to work hard to remain in the show. However, Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox had been able to impress the judges from the very beginning and had also received enough votes from the viewers to remain in this show till the end. After the host of the show went on to declare the name of the contestant who has won the “American Idol” Season 9, Lee DeWyze seemed surprised and at the same time satisfied with the decision.

Lee DeWyze said that a year ago he had nothing to his credit and that without sitting and thinking about that fact he decided to try his luck at the “American Idol“. He added that he is now proud of his win and that he thinks he deserves the title he has been endowed with. However, he also agreed that it was a tough competition where he had to struggle amidst a bunch of good singers.
