LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — On the grand finale of American Idol 2010, two finalists Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox put their heart and soul to earn the maximum votes. But they were not the only singers to set the stage on fire. Will Young, the first winner of the British “Pop Idol,” performed “Leave Right Now,” on the final episode of American Idol.

Will Young became the first champion of British “Pop Idol,” in 2002. Since then he has been going to “American Idol” and similar reality shows to inspire the competitors. His soulful rendition of “Leave Right Now” is a popular UK song from his 2003 album “Friday’s Child.”

Will Young’s Leave Right Now remains as the most appropriate goodbye song throughout Season 9. So, performing the song at the emotional moment of the final episode was quite justified.

I am in LOVE with Will Young’s new EP “Leave Right Now”

Move over Kelly Clarkston, Carrie Underwood, the British winner of the 2002 Pop Idol (Great Britain’s version of American Idol) really has it all, voice, sound, and let me tell you the looks too. My daughter, who is 4 knows all the words and as soon as she hears it she runs around the house pretending to “fly” and sings at the top of her lungs.

His new Digital and Physical EP “Leave Right Now” is available NOW! It features the hit song “Leave Right Now” as currently heard on American Idol! It’s the song that everyone loves but contestants don’t want to hear as it’s the cast-off tune this season!
