Shelton & Lambert Engaged

Country music stars BLAKE SHELTON and MIRANDA LAMBERT are engaged to wed.

Shelton, who has dated the New Strings hitmaker for five years, proposed to Lambert in the woods near her Tishomingo, Oklahoma home on Sunday (09May10).

She accepted and the happy couple was joined by friends and family for an informal celebration.

Lambert tells People.com, “We had a couple of Bacardi (rum) and Diet Sprites - in a Solo (plastic) cup! …He called my dad and got his blessing first. That was so Southern and old-school and perfect.”
