BOSTON (GaeaTimes.com)- The Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at the Boston University will soon arrange a program that celebrates the life of eminent writer Robert B. Parker. This program will be followed by a reception in the writer’s honor. The celebration which is to take place today will bring all the members of the Parker family together and will also feature prominent personalities like Sue Grafton, Dennis Lehane and Calvin Trillin among others.
The archives of Robert B. Parker is kept at the Gotlieb Center and thus this makes it the most appropriate choice for hosting such a celebration. The program begins at 5.30 in the evening. The organizers have taken care to inform everybody who is interested in being a part of the celebrations with detailed information of the location of the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center. It is situated in the George Sherman Union, 775 Commonwealth Avenue, with the program being organized on the 2nd floor.
This program in honor of Robert B. Parker not only lays emphasis on the literary works of the writer but also highlights his role as a father, a husband and a friend.
The latest in the offering from the Robert B. Parker stable has the similar tones of his first three books. Though critics are of the opinion that the dialogues used in this book are crispier and smarter when compared to the previous books, the plot in the new story has not changed much. The characters too in the fourth book of the ‘Westerns’ series have shown no real development. Still critics are of the opinion that if people have not read his earlier books they should start with this one.
