LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- It has been reported that a Hollywood director is interested in making a film on the life and exploits of Colton Harris Moore, the infamous young thief credited to have escaped the police for years. Moreover, he has successfully managed to evade capture the whole time, and is still on the run, and most noteworthy of it all, is still continuing his exploits in full force. Stories about his whereabouts keep floating, but the actual capture of the criminal continues to elude the police. Therefore, it is not much of a surprise that the Hollywood producers would be interested in the tale of a really smart thief, for it cannot be denied that he is completely Hollywood material.
The film on Colton Harris Moore is going to be directed by David Gordon Green, and is reportedly going to be based on the book that Bob Friel is going to write on the subject. According to reports, he has already signed a book deal, as well as a film deal with 20th Century Fox.
Colton Harris Moore, it has been reported, is all of 18 years at present. In this short span of time, he has managed to terrorize Orcas and Camano, islands in the North Pacific. He is currently wanted for several crimes, namely, stealing and crashing four airplanes, committing burglaries in homes and businesses and also stealing boats. He is smart enough to have evaded capture all this time, and it is not surprising that a film on him is not being favorably accepted by the communities. Apparently, the communities feel that a film on him is going to glamorize the crimes that he commits, and is likely to spawn some similar criminals.
