LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The guest in the latest episode of the popular talk show on CBS, “60 Minutes” was none other than Conan O’Brien. He appeared in the show as soon as his stipulated time for staying away from interviews and talks shows was over on May 1. He had been chucked out of the NBC show ‘The Tonight Show,’ which was previously hosted by Jay Leno, after a host of bitterness regarding show timing and his style of jokes. He had also been prohibited from making an appearance in any talk show or television interview by NBC till May 1. For so long, he had spoken nothing about his exit from the show, at least not on television.
Conan O’Brien on “60 Minutes” spoke about his exit from the show, and also said that it left him quite depressed at times. He said that being chucked from the show made him feel as though a marriage had broken bitterly and violently, and agreed that it had made him almost a household name, although he had been the host of the show for only a very short period of time, because he was replaced by the original host not long after he replaced him.
Conan O’Brien on “60 Minutes” said that embarking on the nationwide tour with his stage production, “Legally Prohibited From Bering Funny On Television Tour” had a very positive impact on his life post being chucked out of “The Tonight Show”, and that it helped him get over his depression in a major way. It is felt by many critics that in the stage productions, Conan O’Brien had hinted about his unceremonious exit from “The Tonight Show.”
