YES and ASIA founder STEVE HOWE’s daughter-in-law, ZOE STREET HOWE, has used her husband DYLAN’s experiences as the son of a rock star as the basis of a new book about the offspring of musical celebrities.

The former WENN journalist’s new book How’s Your Dad? features interviews with Julian Lennon, Ian Dury’s son Baxter, and the kids of Alice Cooper, Joe Strummer and Jack Bruce.

The Who star Pete Townshend also offered insight into what it’s like being a famous father.

Street Howe reveals she came up with the concept after attending her drummer husband’s gigs as a member of The Blockheads.

She explains, “I realised the prevalence of ‘How’s your dad?’ syndrome, a phenomenon I’d never previously considered.

“Wherever Dylan went, whatever he did, there would be a gaggle of well-meaning Yes fans who’d pounce on him just to say, ‘How’s your dad?’ Not: ‘Great gig!’ Not even: ‘How are you?’ Just: ‘How’s your dad?’ Which is quite funny really, but also, for me, a bit of a window into a fascinating and complicated area, and that’s where this book goes.”
