Another ‘Idol’ singer sent home

LOS ANGELES — Andrew Garcia is in the dog house on “American Idol.”

The spunky 24-year-old musician and father from Moreno, Calif., was the first singer booted Wednesday on a double-elimination episode of the Fox singing competition. Simon Cowell called Garcia’s moody interpretation of Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog” on Tuesday’s show “lazy and predictable,” while Randy Jackson declared it was “not good karaoke.”

After his dismissal, Garcia told the crowd: “I’m glad I’ve been through what I’ve been through.”
