MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The trend of making movies without so-called bankable stars and having several sub plots seems to have caught on with Bollywood filmmakers after the runaway success of ‘Life In A Metro’. Director Kabir Sadanand who earlier made the not so impressive ‘Popcorn Khao Mast Ho Jao’ does score a little better with Dimple Kapadia Nana Patekar starrer ‘Tum Milo To Sahi’. It also has Suniel Shetty, Vidya Malavade, Anjana Sukhani and Rehan Khan in other roles. The lead track of the film involves the veteran actors Dimple Kapadia and Nana Patekar edging two drastically opposite roles.
‘Tum Milo To Sahi’ tells the story of a Parsi cafe owner named Dilshad played by Dimple Kapadia who tries to save her caf shop from the eyes of a caf chain giant. Nana Patekar plays the role of the temperamental Subramanium who meets her in a mall and despite the contrasts in their nature a bond is formed among the duo. The lead pair makes the movie watchable but the other actors supposedly do not look much credible. The item number done by Tanisha Mukherjee looks odd and it could have been avoided, many feel.
‘Tum Milo To Sahi’ has some redeeming moments. Nana Patekar portrays the role of moody and tantrum throwing Subramanium with panache. Whenever he is in the frame with Dimple Kapadia the movie lightens up. However, it is not as touching and well handled as ‘Life in a Metro’ that also had several sub tracks blended together. The music of the film, though hummable, is not much to talk about.
