March 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): With most of the releases turning to be mere disappointments, the entire town is eagerly looking out for the release of ‘Paiyya’. The film is directed by Lingusamy and is produced by his elder brother Subash Chandra Bose under the banner name of Tirupathi Brothers.

Recently, the film has been acquired by Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions and is slated to hit screens on April 2 on the occasion of Good Friday. Meanwhile, Karthi’s home banner Studio Green has decided to release the film’s Telugu version titled ‘Aawara’ on the same occasion.

According to the closer sources, the Tamil version will be released with 350 prints while the Telugu will have a release with 150prints. Studio Green is completely enthralled with the unexpected success of its recent release ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’ (Telugu version of Selvaraghavan’s ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’). The film was reported to be one of biggest grosser at Telugu box office and is worth mentioning that it’s the first ever dubbed film to witness such a grandiloquent success in Andhra Pradesh.

Brimmed with more confidence, K.E. Gnyanavel Rajan of Studio Green Films is releasing this film in Telugu with more prints.

‘Paiyya’ features Karthi and Thamannah in lead roles while Bollywood actor Milan Soman takes on the baddie role. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s songs have already topped the charts of audio markets and film’s stylish teasers have indeed raised everyone’s expectations to a greater magnitude.
