Corey Haim Dies At 38

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The teen heartthrob of the 1980s, who acted in some blockbuster movies and then went a downslide mainly owing to drug addiction problems, Corey Haim, passed away at the age of 38 in Los Angeles, yesterday. The actor is suspected to be a victim of drug overdose though the cops are investigating his unexpected demise. He was at his mother’s apartment when he collapsed while trying to arise from the bed in the morning. His mother sent for the paramedics and thereafter he was taken to Providence St Joseph Medical Centre but the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The police have ruled out the chances of any foul play behind the shocking death of Corey Haim. However, an autopsy will be done. The actor became famous after acting in hit movies like ‘The Lost Boys’ and ‘Lucas’. His teaming up with actor Corey Feldman did well for his career. However, like many of his Hollywood coworkers he could not cope up with the stress of the celebrity life. He got into drugs and this reportedly took a toll on his career. In the 1990s, he almost slipped into obscurity. However, he was trying to overcome the menace as his friends have said.
Corey Feldman expressed his grief over the death of his co-star and friend Corey Haim. He said that it is a tragic loss for the film fraternity. ‘The Lost Boys’ actor was said to be suffering from some flu like symptoms for quite some time. The fans of the star have expressed their condolence and remorse at his death.
