Perhaps in the book each character is based off of the people in her life, but in the movie, other than the twins the “resemblance” as you say is not obvious. I can only say that I found similarities bewteen the twins and the fact that Ilosovic Stayne reminds me of Lowell.

no, johnny depp did not say he was alices father. what a stupid thing to say.
and the quote from alice and her dad is.
‘do you think im going mad?’
‘yes. im afraid so, your mad, bonkers, crazy, but ill tell you a secret. all the best people are’
^and the ending quote, the last thing that is spoken from alice to mad hatter is when alice says ‘hatter, why is a raven like a writing desk.’ and he just says’i have absolutly no idea’ then they hug, and he says fairwell alice.
nothing about him being her dad. you saw her dad at the beginning.
and its stupid as the alice in wonderland itself. the whole different world is based on her amagnination.
her dad, is the mad hatter in her own mind, because every character is based from someone in her life,
the twins are the 2 sisters that tell her hes going to engadge.
the red queen is hamishes mother. you can tell that from the quote ‘imbercels.they painted white flowers instead of red.’ and alice says ‘why dont you paint them’.
her mother is the white queen, hamish is the rabit, and the mouse is her sister. and the blue capatpillar is hamishes dad. these are all figures of her imaganation based on her family life.
its very obvious by the beginning of the book.

Lol No, he deffinately Did Not say that he was her father. He leaned up to her ear and said “Fairfarren Alice”. Fairfarren meaning “fairwell” or “travel far under fair skys” because she was leaving wonderland, or Underland as I should say.
