Friends of MARIE OSMOND’s son MICHAEL BLOSIL were deeply shocked by his apparent suicide, because the teenager reportedly showed no signs he was struggling with depression.

The 18 year old was found dead outside his apartment building in Los Angeles last Friday evening (26Feb10). Police believe he fell eight storeys after jumping from a roof or balcony of the building and they are treating his death as suicide.

The teen, who was adopted as a baby by Osmond and her ex-husband Brian Blosil, reportedly suffered from depression and had entered rehab on several occasions to deal with his problems.

He reportedly left a suicide note outlining his emotional turmoil, revealing he felt alone and friendless, according to Us Weekly magazine.

But an unnamed pal of Blosil, who studied alongside him at L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, claims they never saw any warning signs, telling the publication, “He was always smiling. (He seemed) really happy, always making jokes. We hung out every single day, a group of us.

“That (the suicide note) was a shock. It wasn’t like he was a loner type. (He was) very close to his mom. If you were sad, he would be the one to make you feel better. He would find a way to make you laugh. He was there if you needed anything.”
