LONDON - Rolling Stones rockers Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood are giving each other “plenty of moral support” after they recently gave up booze.

The two bandmates were reported to have fallen apart of late, with Keith believed to have been left unimpressed by Ronnie’s wild lifestyle, which turned him away from wife Jo for young Russian lover Ekaterina Ivanova.

However, Ronnie has currently given up drinking under the influence of his new girlfriend, Brazillian polo coach Ana Araujo, 30, and seemed quite sober during a night out at Cipriani restaurant in London at the weekend.

Even Richards, 66, is keeping his hands off booze, following doctors’ advice.

Pals say the two are now supporting each other.

“Keith and Ronnie hadn’t had much to do with one another but now they’re back in touch…They’ve both given up alcohol recently so they can obviously relate to each other’s situation. They’ve been giving one another plenty of moral support,” the Daily Express quoted an insider, as saying. (ANI)

Good decision by Richards! Very impressive. And certainly the right move, since he entered an age where his body can’t absorb the whiskey abuse so easily anymore. After all, how old is he now, like 104?
