Jackson’s Kids To Recite Special Poem On We Are The World

MICHAEL JACKSON’s three children will “narrate” an introduction to the revamped WE ARE THE WORLD charity anthem.
Prince and Paris, who accepted the King of Pop’s Lifetime Achievement Award on their late father’s behalf at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (31Jan10), have recorded a poem and some special words for the re-release of the 1985 USA For Africa hit, which has been re-recorded to aid the Haiti earthquake relief effort.
Little brother Blanket, who was too nervous to take the stage at the Grammys, has joined them.
A family insider tells WENN, “They wanted to put a special message on the song - a message that echoes everything their father wanted for the world.”
The charity track will also feature Janet Jackson, who has agreed to sing her brother’s lines for the revamp.
Jackson wrote the anthem with Lionel Richie, who teamed up with producer Quincy Jones, to bring stars like Barbra Streisand, the Jonas Brothers, Natalie Cole, Kanye West and Toni Braxton together for the re-recording in Los Angeles on Monday (01Feb10).
