WELLINGTON - A new survey has found that most Aussies prefer reading a good book to making love with their partner.

The online poll by Swedish furniture giant IKEA saw one in three Aussies saying that they would rather read than have sex if they had an extra hour in the day, reports Stuff.co.nz.

Nearly 35percent of the 1057 participants opted for reading, while only 20percent chose to spend one-on-one time with their other half.

However, women take the lead in reading, with 45percent saying they would choose a good novel; only 14percent said they would opt for private time in the bedroom.

About 26percent men preferred an hour of romance, with 25percent favouring reading. (ANI)
