LONDON - While other stars are heading to the sun and sand this winter, Sir David Attenborough has jetted off to Antarctica.

The 83-year-old star is going to the cold continent and will spend a month filming ‘The Frozen Planet’ for BBC One.

Although, his colleagues were stranded for a week on a Russian icebreaker in November, when the weather closed in on them, Attenborough has said that he doesn’t believe that he will face too much hardship.

“You don’t have to use huskies out there any more,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying before he left.

“Helicopters and snow mobiles make things easier,” he added. (ANI)
