Numan Has Never Been Drunk

British electro-pop pioneer GARY NUMAN has “never been drunk” in his life, because of fears alcohol would exacerbate his medical condition.
The Cars hitmaker was a troubled teenager and was prescribed antidepressants and anxiety drugs to calm his erratic behaviour.
As an adult Numan was diagnosed with a mild form of Asperger’s syndrome and autism spectrum disorder, which affects social and communication skills.
And the star has always avoided booze - because he has no idea how it would affect his personality.
He tells Britain’s FHM, “I’ve never been drunk in my life. I don’t drink, never have. I was a little troubled in my teens and was put onto pills I wasn’t allowed to drink with to keep me calm and rational. I bet I’d turn into an evil pile of st if I got drunk.”
