Woods Mistress Apologises To Wife

The cocktail waitress who has shattered TIGER WOODS’ world has publicly apologised to his model wife ELIN NORDEGREN for the fuss she has caused by coming forward with details about her fling with the golf superstar.

Californian Jaimee Grubbs was the first girl to speak out about Woods’ infidelity, claiming she had romanced the sports star in Los Angeles and San Diego.

But, in a candid TV interview, which will air on Extra in America on Wednesday night (09Dec09), Grubbs reveals she’s sorry for the pain she’s caused Woods’ wife and family.

She says, “I couldn’t describe how remorseful that I am to have hurt her family and her emotionally… (but) if it wasn’t me, it was going to be other girls. I did care about him. I didn’t do it for superficial reasons. I didn’t do it to purposely hurt her.”

And the mistress insists Woods and Nordegren should “try to work” out their relationship.

She adds, “He’s an amazing guy, despite everything that is coming forth.”

That said, the waitress fears she isn’t the one for Woods if his marriage is over: “I can’t say that I would ever go back to him. I would definitely have a relationship with him whether it was friends or just to have him in my life, but, as far as going back to him emotionally…, I don’t know if I can put myself through that again.”

And she assures Nordegren she didn’t set out to destroy her marriage: “I wouldn’t have pursued him if he didn’t pursue me. I mean, when he did, I just figured he was single and I didn’t think to ask.”

She insists by the time she realised he was married, she and Woods were “already in a relationship”.
