Shooting of the 149th film in Dasari Narayana Rao’s direction ‘Young India’ was formally launched at Ramoji Film City recently. Presented by Dasari Padma, the film is being produced by Ramakrishna Prasad under the banner of Siri Media Pvt Ltd. Noted artiste and producer Manchu Mohanbabu gave the clap for the muhurat shot, while noted director Raviraja Pinisetty switched on the camera for the muhurat shot.

Speaking on the occasion, director Dasari says, “The US and the UK are utilizing the human resources from our country. But the youth in our country should not only restrict themselves for just jobs. They should remain the compasses for the future of our country. When we released an advertisement for new artistes for our film, we have received a record 22,000 applications. Of them we scrutinized 540 applications and held interviews. We selected 81 artistes for our film. We held a workshop for all these debutants and gave them training in acting, dances and dialogue modulation. We are very happy to introduce these many artistes through our film. Our film would remain a fitting lesson that there are no heroines in Telugu who could play in Tollywood films.”

Producer says, “We are planning a 60-day non-stop schedule and the shooting would be undertaken in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Mumbai.’ But for the five days, during which Dasari attend the Parliament, there won’t be any break in the shooting.”

The specialty is that Dr Dasari had started his all-time great film ‘Swargam-Narakam’ with all new faces on the same day some 35 years ago and it was a massive hit during those days. Moreover, Dasari-Keeravani combination is repeating after a long gap. There are a total of six songs and of them, recording of four songs was complete. Camera is by Ch Ramana Raju, editing is by Gauthamraju, art is by B Venkateswara Rao, action is by Rakhee Rajesh and Ram-Lakshman, and music is by MM Keeravani, while story, dialogues, screenplay and direction are by Dasari Narayana Rao.
