CHRIS BROWN has won the approval of a Los Angeles judge after working hard to complete his required domestic violence classes stemming from his brutal attack on ex-girlfriend RIHANNA.
The R&B star was back in court on Thursday (06May10) for a progress report hearing, 11 months after he pleaded guilty to the February 2009 assault on the Umbrella hitmaker.
He was ordered to serve six months of hard labour in his home state of Virginia, five years of supervised probation for felony assault and also instructed to attend domestic violence classes.
According to Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, the singer has completed over 290 hours of community service and is in good standing with the probation office.
He is also one class away from finishing his domestic violence course and his efforts have been met with satisfaction from the presiding judge, reports TMZ.com.
Brown, who turned 21 on Wednesday (05May10), is due back in court for his next progress report hearing on 26 August (10).
