NEW YORK - German/American model Heidi Klum has revealed that she did not become successful in showbiz immediately.
Klum, 36, said that she was very hopeful of success after she won a modelling contest, but was disappointed when nothing emerged from it.
“After (winning a German modelling contest), I thought, ‘This is my ticket. Things will happen’. But they didn’t,” the New York Post quoted her as saying.
“I could never book a job. I was walking around New York for three or four years,” she recalled.
After she was spotted at a Victoria’s Secret show, she was dubbed “The Body”, and success followed her from then on. (ANI)
