KOCHI - Thousands of fans in Kerala on Saturday paid tribute to ‘king of pop’ Michael Jackson on his 51st birthday.
Leading singers and choreographers gathered at Darbar Hall ground where a huge LCD screen was erected showing the videos of Jackson.
Fans lighted electronic candles and danced to the popular numbers.
“This is a great way of showing Michael Jackson how much we really love him and how much truly he has touched our life. I think there is not a single artiste or musician who has not been touched by Michael Jackson,” said Usha Uthup, Indian singer who led the troupe.
Meanwhile, Jackson’s family delayed his burial by five days as a judge ruled that a touring show of his memorabilia could go on.
The “Thriller” singer’s burial will now take place on September 3.
Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and died on June 25.
A police investigation into his death appears focused on his use of prescription drugs and on the doctors who treated him. (ANI)
