Dave Stewart to perform with Bruni-Sarkozy on Nelson Mandela Day tribute

LONDON - English musician Dave Stewart is set to team up with French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy for a duet at the upcoming Nelson Mandela Day tribute in New York.

Stewart had also organised the first Nelson Mandela concert in South Africa and will now be among the big name performers at the latest birthday tribute on July 18 in New York.

The former Eurythmics star will perform alongside model/singer Bruni-Sarkozy at Madison Square Garden, reports the Daily Express.

Other performers include Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Cyndi Lauper, Jesse McCartney, Josh Groban and Wyclef Jean.

Stewart and Bruni-Sarkozy have also been working together on some new songs.

The French Nicolas Sarkozy’s wife also featured in a recent photography exhibit celebrating the release of the rocker’s new photography book. (ANI)
