Robert Pattinson says his ‘old, Irish alcoholic’ look impresses the ladies

NEW DELHI - ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson has revealed that his “elderly Irish drunkard” look is what has helped him win so many female fans, and land a role in the vampire film franchise.
Pattinson, 23, was in November 2008 asked by Metromix why he thought he was picked out for the role of Edward Cullen from the 5,000 plus actors who had auditioned for it, reports the China Daily.
“I think because a lot of people are willing to go in and play some kind of Adonis. And they have the body and everything,” he had said.
“There’s a lot of guys, especially in L.A., who can walk down the street and look like some kind of Greek god, statuesque guy. (And that’s not me.)
“Especially not last year. I was like this chubby-looking old, Irish alcoholic,” he added. (ANI)
