LONDON - Former footballer Gary Lineker’s wife Danielle, who is a lingerie model, has revealed that despite her husband offering her all the luxuries of the world she would still rather earn her own money.

Danielle, 31, says that even though Gary can provide for all her needs, she wants to be able to buy the things she wants with her own money and not be a kept woman.

“Gary said to me, ‘You could have such an easy life. You don’t have to put yourself through this’,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

“But I’m a working-class girl, and once it’s drummed into you that if you want things, you work for them, it sticks with you.

“I earn my own money. Yes, I live in a lovely house and that’s down to Gary, but I’m not a kept woman. I still provide for my daughter. I pay for her schooling myself.

“Gary and I have a joint bank account, but I also have my own account. Maybe I’ve got a bit of a, not a chip, but a thing about it. If I buy Gary a present, I want it to be from me,” she added. (ANI)
