NEW DELHI - Sudhir Mishra is miffed. The filmmaker is losing his mind with the oft repeated buzz that his discovery Chitrangada Singh is his muse.

“I don’t like these words. My name is not Maqbool Fida Husain. My name is Sudhir Mishra and I am a film director (not a painter who takes inspirations from a muse). I work with actors whom I am comfortable with and whom I really respect,” Mishra, who had introduced the actress with “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi”, told IANS.

“And Chitrangada is a wonderful and outstanding actress. Whenever there is a part for her, I’ll always cast her. She has added a lot to my films ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ and ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’,” said the filmmaker, whose next is “Tera Kya Hoga Johnny”.

Prateik is my partner-in-crime: Monica Dogra

Monica Dogra couldn’t have asked for more. She got a big screen break with Kiran Rao’s directorial debut “Dhobi Ghat” and a friend for keeps in her co-star Prateik Babbar, 24, courtesy the movie.

“Prateik is my peer, my colleague. He is my age. We listen to the same kind of music, we are interested in the same kind of fashion. So, he is more sort of my partner-in-crime. We are both kind of different and alternatives and reclusive,” Monica told IANS.

“We are supporting each other and calling each other every day. I’ve found a really good friend in Prateik. He is going to blow up as a result of this film,” added the 28-year-old.

The movie hits the screens Friday. Produced by Aamir Khan, “Dhobi Ghat” also stars Aamir and debutante Kriti Malhotra.

Suniel Shetty envious of Akshay’s career

They are the best of pals in the industry but Suniel Shetty has revealed that he is green with his buddy Akshay Kumar’s career path.

“I am envious of Akshay’s career but from an aspirational point of view. You are inspired by the way he has moved on and achieved so much. That gives you the strength to go on and on,” Suniel told IANS.

Having started as action stars, both actors moved on to doing comedies and multi-starrers.
