Helena Bonham Carter insists Tim Burton should be knighted

LONDON - Helena Bonham Carter has insisted that her American partner Tim Burton deserves an honorary knighthood - because he helped provide innumerable jobs for Brit film workers.
The California-born ‘Edward Scissorhands’ director has lived in the U.K. ever since he fell in love with London while scouting for locations for ‘Sleepy Hollow’ in 1999.
Since his relocation, Burton has shot many of his big budget movies in the U.K., helping keep country’s tight-knit film industry in business.
“They should give him a knighthood. An honorary one would be fine. He has done so much for Britain, he’s employed so many people,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling the Times Magazine.
“Practically all his movies are made here because he loves British craftsmanship,” she added. (ANI)
