Lady Gaga named most played artist on radio last year

LONDON - Hail the new queen of radio - Lady Gaga - who is the most played artist on the British radio over past 12 months.

Airplay monitoring body Nielsen Music said she is the performer who is featured most on radio with 275,000 plays.

The award was announced at the annual Radio Festival in Salford Quays, Manchester, during the PRS for Music Hall of Fame Dinner. ady Gaga’s most aired track during the year to September was ‘Bad Romance’.

“Lady Gaga has had phenomenal success during 2010, ratcheting up an enormous number of radio plays in the last year,” the Telegraph quoted Helena Kosinski, the international marketing manager for Nielsen Music, as saying. (ANI)
