SYDNEY - Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey recently stunned audience of her final Favourite Things episode by giving them free 2012 Volkswagen Beetles.
The brand new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle has not even been unveiled yet.
Winfrey gave each member of the audience a brand new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle as part of a promotional deal with Volkswagen America, tipped to be worth more than 5.5 million dollars.
Winfrey surprised the audience by uncovering a massive gift box that was opened to reveal a silhouette of the all-new Volkswagen Beetle, a car that has not been revealed anywhere else in the world.
“The Beetles are coming!” Winfrey screamed, as her helpers streamed from behind the scenes, carrying boxes containing a set of mock car keys for each of the 275 audience members, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
But the lucky new VW owners will have to wait some time to get behind the wheel of their new cars, as the all-new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle has not even been unveiled yet.
The audience members are likely to receive their new cars by the end of next year. (ANI)
