SILIGURI - Budding designers from International and National institute of Fashion designing (INIFD) showcased ethnic Indian outfits in a fashion show here over the weekend.
The theme for the show was ‘Incredible India’ and the idea was to portray the nation’s unity in diversity.
The show was an attempt to showcase the talent of the budding designers as well as to expand and grow the potential of the industry in the State.
A total of 46 models walked the ramp in various ethnic Indian outfits depicting the cultures of different States like Assam, Nagaland, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan.
“I am feeling great to attend this show; the students have designed nice dresses. Till now I have only seen two or three themes, out of which I liked the Rajasthani theme and I am sure we’ll get to see more good outfits ahead,” said Priyanka Nehwal, a visitor.
INIFD organises a fashion show every year to promote the fashion culture and creativity of its students among the general public of the state. By Tarak Sarkar (ANI)
