James Cameron won’t helm ‘Cleopatra’
By ANIFriday, November 5, 2010
WASHINGTON - A month after revealing that he was in negotiations with Sony to direct ‘Cleopatra’, the Academy Award-winning filmmaker has confirmed that he has pulled out of the project.
At the annual Fulfillment Fund’s benefit gala in Beverly Hills, the director revealed he has walked away from the deal.
“I am not doing ‘Cleopatra’. That has been decided,” Fox News quoted Cameron as saying.
Instead, he would begin writing scripts for the next two ‘Avatar’ sequels, with production to begin early next year and for a December 2015 release. (ANI)
